Lanz Vineyards im südaustralischen Barossa Valley ist das Familien-Weingut der ausgewanderten Schweizer MARIANNE & THOMAS LANZ.
Der australische Rotwein Lanz Vineyards The Club GSM besteht aus den Traubensorten:
- 53% Grenache
- 37% Shiraz
- 10% Mourvèdre
handgelesen von den besten eigenen Single-Weinrebenlagen beim Örtchen Lyndoch im Barossa Valley, Südaustralien.
Nach der Mazeration (Extraktion der Farb-, Aroma- und Gerbstoffe aus den Traubenhäuten) und der Fermentation im Edelstahltank, wurde der australische Rotwein Lanz The Club GSM während 6 Monaten geblendet und anschliessend 12 Monate in französischen & amerikanischen Eichen Weinfässer - French & American Oak Barrels - ausgebaut. 15% davon waren neue Weinfässer.

WINEMAKERS NOTES Michael Paxton:
Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre – the three classic Rhone Valley grapes that form the Famous Club of the other Regional Hero of the Barossa Valley: the Lanz Vineyards The Club GSM-blend. It varies each vintage, but is generally around 53% Grenache : 37% Shiraz : 10% Mourvèdre.
Style:
Our Lanz The Club GSM is a succulent, medium-bodied, easy-drinking and very food-friendly wine. Soft Grenache, fleshier Shiraz and more structured robust Mourvedre. The varieties ripen at different times over a period of several weeks. The grapes, partly hand-picked, are fermented separately and put in barrel. The final blend is assembled around 6 months later after extensive tastings, then barrel aged for about another 6 months.
The Lanz Vineyards The Club GSM shows intense purple red. Red and black berries, spices, a touch of cedarwood. A succulent medium-weight palate of sweet red and black berries, plums, earthy and aromatic undertones of rosemary, thyme and black pepper, fine and well integrated Tannins.

Our Lanz The Club GSM goes perfect with Mediterranean cuisine, with grilled or roasted meat, chicken, all pasta dishes with tomatoes.
