Der Weisswein Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc (mit 5% Semillon) kommt aus dem �ltesten Weinanbaugebiet S�dafrikas - Constantia - und wurde nach der kalten Fermentation 4 Monate im Edelstahltank auf der Hefe ausgebaut.

Dieser Weisswein erfreut mit junger zitronengelber Farbe mit gr�nlichen Reflexen, fruchtig - frisch und grasig in der Nase, wie frisch gem�hte Sommerwiese, am Gaumen gehaltvoll mit delikater S�ure, mineralisch mit schlankem K�rper, trinkfreudig und animierend � ein s�dafrikanischer Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc Wei�wein wo man jeden Schluck aufs neue genie�t.

Der s�dafrikanische Weisswein Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc zeigt sich hellgr�n mit strohfarbener Maserung. Klar und intensiv. Aromen von frischem Zitronengras und Hollunder vereinen sich mit einem Hauch Guave. Am Rande vermischen sich bei diesem charaktervollen s�dafrikanischem Weisswein Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc Akzente von Kr�utern. Die Mineralit�t des Weissweins Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc verbindet die jugendliche Fruchtigkeit der Nase mit den selbstbewussteren Aromen der Reife, wie Zitronengras und Hollunder. Der Geruch ist komplex und edel.

Der erste Eindruck ist, konzentrierter Geschmack und Rassigkeit. Der Weisswein Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc ist in seiner Fruchtigkeit und S�ure ausgesprochen ausgewogen und mit seinem gew�rzigen Geschmack in der Gaumenmitte und einem nachhaltig frischen Abgang absolut edel. Gelbe Fr�chte sind am Gaumen klar erkennbar und die in der Nase enthaltene Mineralit�t ist auch im Geschmack pr�sent. Die k�hne Struktur deutet auf exzellentes Entwicklungspotenzial. Dieser s�dafrikanische Weisswein Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc wird bei seiner Alterung gewinnen. Ein Wein, welcher entweder allein oder im Zusammenklang mit einem alfresco-Sommeressen genossen werden kann.

WINEMAKERS NOTES Justin van Wyk:
The 2014 harvest of the white varieties at Constantia Glen was quite exceptional. It was a relatively cool vintage, which allowed for the slow accumulation of sugar, but the real phenomenon in this vintage was the fact that the acidity was slightly lower than previous years and it allowed for great balance in the wine at a slightly lower sugar level. The slow and long ripening resulted in extremely elegant and mineral wines with great richness and texture. Harvesting of this aromatic Grape continued for 23 days, as each different clone and vineyard block achieved optimal ripeness and flavour concentration. The white grape harvest ended on 20 March when the block of S�millon was picked and whilst making up only 5% of this wine, it adds incredible complexity with some citrus flavours, as well as depth and mouth coating richness to the overall palate.

COLOUR
Our Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc shows clear and bright with a light straw colour tinged with lime green.

NOSE
Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc is very expressive and uplifting aromas of nettles, nectarine and gooseberry, backed up by an intense array of tropical flavours ranging from guava and kiwi fruit to floral notes of elderberry. This underlying perfume of elderflower is very characteristic of the Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc. This multi-layered offering shows ethereal notes now and will develop haunting intricacy with age.

PALATE
The typical favours of the Sauvignon Blanc follow seamlessly onto the palate where the flavour concentration is balanced by the minerality and rich texture of the wine. The creamy richness with some citrus and yellow fruit flavours give the wine good mouthfeel and length. A small portion of S�millon (5%) adds weighty texture and complexity to the Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc wine. This is also accentuated by the maturation of the wine on the lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months prior to bottling. This is a classic Constantia wine with beautiful elegance, depth and texture that will result in superlative ageing under ideal cellaring conditions.
