Beschreibung
Weisswein Caymus Vineyards Conundrum White Kalifornien USA 13,5 Vol.%

FOUNDER 1972 Charles F. (Charlie) Wagner.
OWNER Wagner Family of Wine.
WINEMAKERS NOTES Jon Bolta & Charlie Wagner II:
Mmmmmm. What`s In There?
Conundrum White shows gorgeous aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, vanilla, and lime zest enhance a deeply-flavored palate of tropical fruit, peach, pear and honeydew melon. The complexity of this wine is brought into balance with a rich, round, soft texture; fresh, supportive acidity; and a stunning, satisfying finish!

Fresh fajitas. Relaxing before dinner. A night out for Thai or Vietnamese. Conundrum White goes with them all. Sourced from California’s premier winegrowing regions, this Conundrum White wine is both exotic and bright, a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. It lures you in with scents of apricot, pear and honeysuckle, and if you’re paying attention, orange and lemon meringue pie. Initial sweetness is balanced by natural acidity, and we love the hint of oak that plays with flavors of peach, apple and citrus. The long finish will leave you longing for another glass of Conundrum White.

Conundrum White shows intriguing Aromas of green apple, tangerine and honeysuckle blossoms. On the palate, the Conundrum White shows exotic flavours of peach, apricot, green melon and pear, overlaid with subtle notes of citrus zest and spicy vanilla. A rich, round mouth-feel supported by fresh acidity, bringing the complexity of the Conundrum White into balance.

“This delicious Conundrum White blend of five white wine grapes is one of the best of its type from California. It is a complex Conundrum White wine, with an array of ripe, concentrated flavors – pear, honey, fig, vanilla, peach and nectarine, finishing with lots of character and a dash of spice.”

Jahres-Weinproduktion vom Weingut Caymus Vineyards in Kalifornien USA: ca. 58`000 Weinkisten.

History: Caymus Vineyrds was founded in 1972 by Charles F. (Charlie) Wagner, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner and their son Charles J. (Chuck) Wagner on the familys Rutherford property. The Wagners produced their first Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1972 vintage.

Their first Special Selection - from outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon lots given extended barrel aging - was made from the 1975 vintage. Caymus has made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon every year since its founding, and now focuses entirely on this variety. Production has remained at the same level since the 1989 vintage.

The Wagners took the name Caymus from the Mexican land grant known as Rancho Caymus, given to George Yount in 1836, which included what eventually became the town of Rutherford and much of the surrounding area. (Caymus was also the name of a subgroup of Mishewal-Wappo Indians whose village was north of what is now the town of Yountville.)

Vineyards: The winerys 60-plus acres of estate Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valleys Rutherford District continue to form the foundation of Caymus Cabernets. The Wagners also farm several other vineyards in the Napa Valley, ranging in location from the valley floor to mountain slopes. In addition, Caymus purchases grapes from selected Napa Valley growers who have had a long-term association with the winery.
