Die nordargentinische Weinkellerei BODEGA TUKMA liegt im Valle Tolombón (gehört zum grösseren Gebiet der Calchaquí Valleys) im Weinanbaugebiet Tukmanao - Cafayate - Salta auf 1680müM., ein paar Kilometer südlich des bekannten Weinstädtchens Cafayate, ca. 210 km (3,5 Autostunden) südwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Salta und gut 1030 Kilometer nördlich der Wein-Metropole Mendoza, nahe dem kleinen Dorf Tolombón in einer spektakulären Berglandschaft.
Die Weine von Bodega Tukma können fast täglich im Cellar-Door auf dem Weingut degustiert und eingekauft werden. Geführte Weinkeller- und Rebberg-Touren sind vor Ort buchbar. Ausserdem sind Weingut-Besucher herzlich eingeladen, sich im eigenen ALTALALUNA Hotel - mit Swimming-Pool und Spa-Bereich - mit einem feinen Glas Tukma-Wein und regionalen Spezialtäten zu verköstigen und den Aufenthalt mit einer oder mehrerer Übernachtungen in den gemütlichen Zimmern zu verlängern. Die Weinberge von Bodega Tukma - dafür verantwortlich JUAN LUCIANO PRATES (kleines Bild in den Rebbergen) - sind die höchstgelegenen der Welt (bis 2670müM.) und befinden sich in den Tälern von Calchaquí in der nordargentinischen Provinz Salta:
- HUACLERA auf 1700-2670müM.
- TOLOMBON auf 1700müM.
- ANGASTACO auf 1850-2000müM.
- COLALAO DEL VALLE auf 1700müM.
Zur Geschichte des argentinischen Weinguts Bodega Tukma:
FERNANDO MAURETTE, erfolgreicher Hotelier aus Buenos Aires, erfüllte sich - zusammen mit Co-Gründer RAUL NOCETO - mit Bodega Tukma seinen Traum, indem er 2007 in Huacalera, Salta, in den Hochtälern der Anden, nebst zwei Hotels eine kleine Weinkellerei mit den höchst gelegenen Weinrebenlagen der Welt erbaute.
Weintechnisch wird das Projekt Bodega Tukma seit Anbeginn von JOSÉ LUIS MOUNIER geleitet, einem der erfahrensten und besten Weinmacher des argentinischen Nordens. José wurde in Mendoza geboren, studierte dort Landwirtschaft und Önologie und reiste viel in der Welt umher, um die verschiedensten Weinpraktiken kennenzulernen - so studierte er auch die Vinifikation mit dem berühmten Weinmacher MICHEL ROLAND in Pomerol, Frankreich. Er war und ist an vielen Wein-Projekten beteiligt, so lange bei Bodegas Etchart, Bodegas Lavaque und Finca Quara. Auch heute fungiert er noch auf vielen Bodegas in beratender Funktion. Sein eigenes kleines Weingut ist die FINCA LAS NUBES, ganz in der Nähe von Bodega Tukma, an den Hängen des Valle Tolombon und ca. 5 km von Cafayate entfernt, wo er mit seiner Frau und seinen drei Kindern - Joseph-Omar, Ana-Lucia und Paul - lebt. Stolz ist er, dass sein Sohn JOSEPH OMAR MOUNIER das Önologie-Studium in Mendoza abgeschlossen hat und als talentierte Winemaker auf der Bodega Monteviejo mit MARCELO PELLERITI zusammenarbeitet.
Das Resultat ist eine kleine Produktion von erlesenen Tropfen. Die Rebberge von Bodega Tukma liegen in Huacalera, in Angastaco, sowie in Colalao und Tolombon und sind mit den klassischen Rebsorten des Nordens, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Sauvignon Blanc und natürlich mit der lokalen Königin Torrontés-Weinreben bepflanzt.

From Tolombón, the heart of Tukmanao, Bodega Tukma invites you to taste our high altitude wines. Tolombón, a small and picturesque town in the province of Salta, is located 14 km to the south of Cafayate city, around 5 km north of the border of the Province of Tucuman, in the center of the Calchaquí Valleys and at 1,600 meters above sea level.
Tolombon’s geography, its grandiose views with cloudless sights, star decorated nights, pure aire and the mystique of this manor from 1892, where old times come to life again, will let you enjoy the authenticity of a place which has not changed with the passing of time.
Bodega Tukma extends throughout the Tukmanao region. The heart of the operation lies in Salta, our vineyards as well as a state-of-the-art winery are found in the Valley of Tolombón, a few miles from Cafayate. Also in Salta, in the Valley of Angastaco, we own a small terroir with vines that are over half a century old. In Jujuy we have our highest plantation, vines 2,670 meters above sea level in Huacalera, Valley of Humahuaca (Declared World Heritage - UNESCO). Finally, in Colalao del Valle, Tucumán, we have an estate of several acres.
Bodega Tukma was born like all great ventures: with the pleasure and desire to do things right. The first three thousand Malbec plants reached Raúl Noceti and Fernando Maurette, almost casually. It soon became a solid and professional commercial project under the brand Tukma. The boutique winery has grown rapidly, at all times maintaining its high standards of quality. Today Bodega Tukma has an excellent position in the domestic and international market.
José Luis Mounier | Our Wine Maker
José Luis Mounier, our winemaker graduated with a degree in enology from the Technical School BT 17 in Alto Verde, Mendoza, in 1978, and then in 1985 he received a BA from the Don Bosco College of Enology. His experience working at first-class wineries is vast and remarkable. He held positions as main technician and manager at Bodegas Etchart – in Cafayate (Salta), and since 1992 property of Pernod-Ricart – and, since August of 2004, as chief enologist at Bodegas Lavaque. He studied vinification in Chateau le bon Pasteuralongside Michel Roland at Pomerol, and continued to work with him at Bodegas Etchart from 1987 to 1994. He made frequent visits to Burgundy, Champagne, Beaujolais, Chateauneuf du Pape, Saint Chinian, Bordeaux (Medoc, Pomerol, Saint Emilion, Graves, Sauternes), Limoux, Penedes, Rioja, and Rueda. He also took technical and business trips to Canada, Belgium, Brazil, Holland, Austria, and the USA. He participated in winefairs such as Vinexpo, London Wine Trade Fair, and Vinitaly. At several contests (Blaye Bourg, Vinandino, and Malbec Argentina) he acted as jury, and he took several courses, participated in conferences and seminars dedicated to vinification in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. Since 1995 he own the estate Las Nubes, a family run winery, in the high valley of Cafayate where he also offers enoturism. He has produced high quality Red, Rosé, and Torrontés named José L. Mounier, and a young red called Finca Las Nubes. These products are of limited production and distributed at wine stores, hotels, and restaurants of the main cities of Argentina, and they are also exported to the USA and Brazil. Mounier has been the leader of the Tukma project since its beginnings. He lives in Cafayate with his wife and their three children.
