Die Bodega CASA LAPOSTOLLE mit der CUNACO WINERY, LAPOSTOLLE RESIDENCE & CLOS APALTA WINERY liegt im chilenischen Weinanbaugebiet Colchagua - Rapel Valley zwischen Pazifik und den Anden, nur gut 90 Minuten (ca. 80 km) von der Südpazifischen Küste und etwas mehr als 2 Autostunden (180 km) südlich von Santiago de Chile entfernt.

Die Gründer-Weinkellerei CUNACO WINERY mit einer Gesamt Wein-Kapazität von 3,3 Millionen Liter befindet sich gleich auch gleich dort.
Von hier aus 1 Km weiterfahren bis zum Wegweiser APALTA, dort nach rechts, über den Fluss Tinguiririca - APALTA BRIDGE, nach 4 Kilometer finden Sie auf der rechten Seite die LAPOSTOLLE RESIDENCE & CLOS APALTA WINERY mit seiner eindrücklichen und einzigartigen Architektur auf 4600m2 (siehe Bild).

Das chilenische Weingut LAPOSTOLLE mit CLOS APALTA WINERY ist öffentlich zugänglich und kann fast täglich besucht werden!
- Montag bis Samstag je eine Winery-Tour um 10.30 und 16.30 Uhr.
- Sonntag eine Winery-Tour um 10.30 Uhr.
- 25. Dezember und 1. Januar geschlossen!

Der APALTA Vineyard ist vollumfänglich biologisch & biodynamisch bewirtschaftet (Demeter, Ceres Certified, Enviromental Certification & CarbonNeutral Certification). Das Ziel von Casa Lapostolle ist ganz klar definiert: «Weltklasse-Weine mit französischer Fachkenntnis auf hervorragendem chilenischem Boden herzustellen. Um diese hohen Qualitäts-Ansprüche zu gewährleisten ist der bekannte französische Kellermeister MICHEL ROLLAND als Berater-Winemaker verpflichtet worden. Als Winemaking-Director fungiert JACQUES BEGARIE und als Senior-Winemaker PAOLA MUNOZ. Für die Weinreben zuständig ist Viticulturist JORGE CASTILLO (Gruppenbild).

Zur Geschichte des chilenischen Weinguts Lapostolle Winery:
Das chilenische Weingut Casa Lapostolle ist eines der besten Weinhäuser des Landes und wurde im Jahre 1994 von ALEXANDRA MARNIER LAPOSTOLLE und ihrem Ehemann CYRIL DE BOURNET gegründet (Bild ganz oben rechts). Die MARNIER-LAPOSTOLLE Familie ist auch Besitzer des weltbekannten GRAND MARNIER Liqueur-Unternehmens.

Casa Lapostolle Winery - Rapel Valley Chile:
Lapostolle was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. The Marnier Lapostolle family, founders and owners of the world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier, is famous for producing spirits and liqueurs, but the family has also been involved in winemaking for generations.

In creating Lapostolle, the family has pursued the same uncompromising approach to quality that made Grand Marnier a global success. Its objective is as simple as it is ambitious: to create world-class wines using French expertise and the superb terroirs of Chile.

Today, Lapostolle owns 370 hectares in three different vineyards and produce a total of 200.000 cases spread over Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, and Syrah. Lapostolle is distributed in more than 60 countries around the world.

CUNACO WINERY
Lapostolle winery is located in the town of Cunaco, right next to Santa Cruz. It is the original winery, where Lapostolle was founded in 1994 and today it is here where our Casa and Cuvée Alexandre wines are produced. With a traditional Chilean old hacienda style, it has a production capacity of 3.300.000 liters in stainless steel and French oak tanks, and more than 3.500 French Oak Barrels.

CLOS APALTA WINERY
This revolutionary winery is solely dedicated to the production of Lapostolle`s world-class icon wine, Clos Apalta. The winery is 100% gravity-fed spanning six levels, four of which are buried into the granite of the Apalta hillside to provide a natural cool temperature environment for cellaring and ageing. This rare vertical design allows the wine to flow naturally downward during every stage of the production, avoiding the need to pump, which can adversely affect the subtle flavours of the wine. Grapes are night hand-harvested and brought to the highest level of the winery where they will be 100% hand de-stemmed, a labor intensive technique performed by only very few wineries throughout the world. Fermentation takes place in 21 small French wooden vats which size corresponds to a parcel of our Apalta vineyard. Thus we can enhance the personality of each of our terroir plots. After two years of ageing in two different barrel cellars, the wine will be bottled and either departs from the base of the winery or join the underground library in the heart of the winery. Clos Apalta of Lapostolle it is not only an incredible engineer installation, but in addition a significant sample to confidence for the potential of terroir of Apalta. The whole project took 4 years of gestation with a result of 4,600 square meters built at a cost of US$ 10 million of investment.

LAPOSTOLLE RESIDENCE (Relais & Châteaux)
With extraordinary views of the Apalta vineyards and the surrounding mountains, Lapostolle Residence is the perfect place to enjoy nature with sophistication. Only four suites nestled into the native forested hillside of the valley, provide serenity and privacy. Each private terrace offers an ideal setting for quiet contemplation or intimate meals. The Residence, where the living and dining rooms are located, has a wonderful atmosphere where you can share your experience with fellow travelers. Our cuisine enhances the natural flavors from Chile and uses the local products from our organic vegetable and herb garden and also the local fresh markets from the area. The tasting room is furnished with high-tech equipments and can also be used for conferences and meetings. Only four suites are nestled into the native forested hillside of the valley, providing serenity and privacy. Natural silk, leather and native wood dress the 90 sq mt of these four Suites-Casitas each one with a private terrace and garden. Surrounded by mountains and stunning vineyard views, each suite has a unique decoration inspired by the four varietals that are part of the blend of Clos Apalta.
